Sunday – Tour de Grove 5K Run

The Running of the Grove. Sunday, June 13th, 7:30 am.  Prior to the start of the NRC Tour de Grove cycling events, we’ll be hosting a 5K run/walk on the the Tour de Grove circuit race course. With Overall $1700 Cash and Age Group prizes and awards on the line, we invite you to get out of bed, get on your shoes and get your heart rate up. Runners will be able to experience the entire Tour de Grove circuit race as athletes and later on as spectators. Bring your family and enjoy the day’s activities at the Tour de Grove Expo and kids’ races. Chip timing, t-Shirt included, good clean fun guaranteed. Course length to be certified by St. Louis Track Club. One LAP is approx. 2.5 miles- so the start and finish are in different locations. Please NOTE- Start Line will be Tower Grove Avenue and Highway 40.

Cash Prizes to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women: 1st- $500, 2nd- $250, 3rd- $100

You can register ONLINE (click on the handy button, above)- or Race Day between 6:30 and 7:15.  (We can’t guarantee the fabulous event shirt for race day registration- but we can have one custom tailored for you for later delivery…) Race Day Registration will be at Talmage Ave and Manchester Ave- Next door to the Atomic Cowboy Restaurant. The 5K run payout will be at registration. ALL PARTICIPANTS will have to report to registration the morning of the race for Timing Chip Assignment, T-Shirt and Bib Number Pick Up.

Race timing and results will be managed by Ultramax Events.

If you click on this handy map it will ENLARGE. The Red Balloon is the Start. The Green Balloon is the finish. The 5 K run is longer than 1 lap of the Tour de Grove race course- hence the separate Start and Finish Line.

Map legend: Blue Flags represent mile markers. The Green House represents registration. The BLUE LINE is the shortest path to the Start line from Registration- it is approximately 2500 feet, in case you were wondering.

PARKING- Street Parking will be available near the Start and Finish on the outside of the Race Course. The Commerce Bank lot at Sarah and Vandeventer Ave will be the closest surface lot to Registration.
