The Dash du Chocolat presented by Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier

The only race in North America that involves head to head racing AND the consumption of the fabled  Bissinger’s Apple Ghost Chili Caramel. Big Shark Bicycle Company will be providing the fine tuned race equipment (the Raleigh L’il Honey Racing Chidlren’s Bicycle) and Bissinger’s will be providing the high HEAT.

The Apple Ghost Chili Salt Carmel is a risky reward. This daring confection is set to send (heat) waves of excitement across taste buds throughout the races. “The Ghost Chili Pepper is really hot, literally and figuratively,” said Ken Kellerhals, Bissinger’s President and CEO. “And people are already buzzing about heading to our booth to try them.”

The Ghost Chili Pepper, used in the salt topping this inventive confection, is also known as the “Naga Jolokia” or “Bhut Jolokia,” and it’s notoriously hot. On the Scoville scale, it tests in at a staggering 1,001,304 units (In comparison, the Red Savina Habenero pepper, previously on record as the hottest pepper in the world, comes in at a paltry 580,000 units.). Naturally, even a little taste goes quite a long way. So, what then, would inspire Bissinger’s to use it in crafting its confections?

Not really an intermission. Not just for your rank and file USA Cycling licensed athletes. Not for the faint of mouth. Do you have what it takes to pilot a high speed, small performance bicycle, eat Apple Ghost Chili Caramels and perform in front of salivating crowds? Yes.  Yes, You do.
